There are still places available for a special Sportsman's Dinner featuring several former Hammers favourites, to be held on Friday, September 3, 2004 at Dagenham & Redbridge's Victoria Road stadium.

This annual event is being staged by Nova Football Club and ex-players lined up to attend include Alan Devonshire, Alvin Martin, Tony Cottee, Eddie Bovington, George Parris, Steve Potts and John McDowell.

The evening kicks-off at 7.30 for 8pm and will include a four-course meal and Tony Cottee's quiz.

There wil also be a memorabilia auction where guests will get the chance to bid for a nunber of signed Hammers-related items. Among the auction items up for grabs will be: 1964 FA Cup final programme and photo, plus the signatures of Ken Brown, John Bond and Jack Burkett; Picture of Geoff Hurst's disputed second goal in the 1966 World Cup final, plus Sir Geoff's coveted signature; 1975 FA Cup final programme and picture, together with Billy Bonds' signature; 1980 FA Cup semi-final programme at Villa Park, together with the signatures of Bonzo, Trevor Brooking, Alvin Martin and Paul Allen; and a photo of Paolo Di Canio and the late Marc-Vivien Foe together on the day they signed for West Ham in January 1999, with both players' autographs included.
